Terms of Use

Meet your imagination in conversation. These Terms of Use are the ground rules for Talevo: AI Character Chat, an app provided by Anneloes Bouwmeester where you chat with AI-generated characters for creative play. Talevo is a storytelling playground, not a productivity tool and not a messaging service for reaching real people. Effective date: 27.10.2026.

Stepping Into the Story Means Agreeing

By downloading, opening or using Talevo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. You must be old enough to use the app under the App Store rating and the laws where you live.

Remember: The Characters Are Make-Believe

Every reply in Talevo is generated by artificial intelligence. Characters may sound convincing, playful or wise, but they are not real people, and what they say may be inaccurate, unexpected or simply invented. Treat their words as creative fiction. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional advice, and do not treat them as a substitute for real human support.

Your Ticket to Play: The Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Talevo on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial enjoyment, in line with these Terms and Apple's usage rules. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or try to extract the app's source code or underlying models, except where the law expressly allows it.

House Rules for Imaginative Play

What if a story takes a wild turn? That's part of the fun, within limits. You agree not to use Talevo to: create content that is illegal, sexually exploits minors, harasses or threatens others, or promotes violence or hatred; impersonate real people in a harmful or deceptive way; generate material that infringes someone else's rights; spam, overload, probe or interfere with our backend or security; or use automated tools to scrape or mass-generate content. We may limit or end access to the app if these rules are broken.

Who Owns What

Talevo itself, including its design, code, characters we provide, name, look and branding, belongs to Anneloes Bouwmeester or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The prompts and messages you write remain yours. As far as the law allows, you may use the AI-generated replies from your own chats for personal purposes, but please note that similar outputs may be generated for other people, and AI output may not be protected by copyright everywhere. You give us permission to process your content as needed to generate replies and operate the app, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you choose to write and share.

Subscriptions, Billing and Saying Goodbye

Some features may require a paid subscription or purchase. All payments, billing, renewals and cancellations are handled by Apple through the App Store and your Apple account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account will be charged for renewal according to Apple's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies. Prices and plan details are shown in the app before you buy.

No Guarantees in the Land of Make-Believe

Talevo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. AI-generated replies may be wrong, odd or unsuitable, and features may change or be paused.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anneloes Bouwmeester will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Talevo or any AI-generated content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

A Note About Apple

These Terms are between you and Anneloes Bouwmeester, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Talevo or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Your use of the App Store remains subject to Apple's own terms.

New Pages in the Rulebook

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Talevo after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
